Inspired by the ancient Philae libation bowl, this piece reimagines the ritual of offering to the gods. Matthew envisioned the work in the hands of Ariadne, used to honor Dionysus on the island of Naxos. A vessel for devotion, where the sacred act of pouring wine, oil, or water becomes a symbol of worship and connection to the divine.
